With his funky, soulful, warm-toned Misha has had a multifaceted journey through the music world. From backing up iconic gospel artists such as Kim Burrell and Tye Tribbett, to collaborating with the likes of Lauriana Mae and Raekwon. Misha's diverse resume has had an enriching effect on his musical style.
Upon hearing blues guitarist Freddy King, Misha was set on a path that has taken him to great venues such as Carnegie Hall and NJPAC, and to performances and recordings with a wide variety of international jazz, pop, gospel, and Bollywood artists.
For over 2 years, Misha has been a regular member of the C3 house band at The Christian Cultural Center in Brooklyn, New York. While accompanying the world-renowned choirs of The CCC, Misha has been joined by some of the finest musicians in the industry. Services are held for approximately 30,000 members, televised and streamed online, and have regular guest performances by gospel notables such as Bebe Winans, Israel Houghton, Darwin Hobbs, and many others.
Misha has recorded with the Bollywood icon Javed Ali for the song "Rang Safa", produced by Rushi Vakil. In 2009, Misha traveled to India to perform in honor of Pandit Divyang Vakil, a world renowned percussionist. This past fall, Misha was part of the four-member touring band for Mystic India, an internationally known dance ensemble.
Having recorded 2 albums with the organ-jazz group, “Conspiracy For Positivity,” Misha can be heard frequently on New York and Philadelphia jazz radio. This group is lead by jazz-organ veteran Radam Schwartz and the album “Magic Tales” was ranked #11 on the national Jazz Times chart.
An exciting project that Misha is currently involved in is the eleven-piece ensemble, Funktion11. F11 can be heard performing throughout the greater northeast, performing an energetic funk/pop repertoire, which includes original songs to be released in an upcoming album.
